Ping An Trust Co., Ltd. is an independent legal entity invested and controlled by Ping An Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. of China. It is one of the 38 trust and investment companies in China that was approved for re-registration.

Ping An Trust & Investment Co., Ltd. was established on July 2, 1996 and is a holding subsidiary of Ping An Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. of China. In February 2002, Ping An Trust was re-registered with the approval of the People's Bank of China, becoming one of the first trust and investment companies approved for re-registration in China.

In October 2003, Ping An Trust increased its registered capital to RMB 2.7 billion, becoming a trust company with the largest registered capital in China.
