Beijing Hospital was founded in 1905 as a German hospital, and after the victory in World War II, it was renamed Beiping Municipal Hospital. In April 1949, the Ministry of Health of the Central Military Commission led the medical staff of Yan'an Central Hospital and Bethune International Peace Hospital to take over the then "Municipal Beiping Hospital", and changed its name to "Beijing Hospital" with the change of the place name of Beijing.
