Qujiang is located in the southeast corner of Xi'an City, from the Qin and Han dynasties to the Sui and Tang dynasties as a royal forbidden garden for 1,300 years, is the culmination of Chinese classical gardens and architecture.

During the Qin period, taking advantage of the natural characteristics of the Qujiang area and the beautiful landscapes, the Qin Dynasty opened up the famous royal forbidden garden - Yichun Garden, making Qujiang an important part of the royal forbidden garden.

In the Sui Dynasty, Daxing City (Xi'an) was built by leaning on the Qujiang River, and with the Qujiang River as the center, the Royal Forbidden Garden was built, and the hibiscus was renamed "Hibiscus Pond" because of the wide planting of hibiscus in the water, and "then became the place where the people of Beijing played and watched". Qujiang became a part of the capital, and the nature of the Furong Garden was also transformed from a palace on the outskirts of the Qin and Han dynasties to a royal garden in the Sui Dynasty capital.

By the Tang Dynasty, Qujiang had entered a period of prosperity. At that time, the Furong Garden was turned into the royal forbidden garden - Furong Garden (also known as the Furong Garden), and in the 14th year of Tang Kaiyuan, important buildings such as Ziyun Tower and Caixia Pavilion were built. Tang Xuanzong in order to be able to often go to Qujiang Furong Garden to have fun, along the city wall specially built a sandwich city from the palace to the Furong Garden. Every time the Qujiang Conference is held, Emperor Tang Ming brings his favorite concubines and hundreds of officials to the Ziyun Tower in Furong Garden to enjoy with the people, and the empty alleys of Tang Chang'an City are all gathered for a banquet in Qujiang, and the grand occasion of the Tang Dynasty can be seen.

With its unique charm and incomparable historical status, the Tang Paradise has become the cultural ancestral garden of Chinese descendants to seek their roots and pursue their dreams and the spiritual home of reliving the prosperous era, which will take you into the only cultural journey of the Tang Dynasty in China.

The Ming Emperor sleepwalks in the Qujiang River

"Ming Emperor Sleepwalking in Qujiang" glass processing group carved in front of the Imperial Garden, it is based on the traditional classic art emperor image of the lady, combined with modern flat façade design, space design, using today's high-end glass man technology to complete, to show the Tang Ming Emperor led the brigade of the palace to visit the Qujiang scene. There are 25 glass sculptures in total, and they are equipped with crystal lotus, copper hollow carved gold inlaid gemstone canopy, glass clouds, and glass cranes. All the glass sculptures are arranged on a black granite pedestal, and the pedestal is parallel to the water, and under the lighting effect, the sculpture as a whole gives people a sense of both reality and illusion.

The era of Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was the heyday of the Tang Dynasty, when it was in the most prosperous period in ancient Chinese history, the "Kaiyuan Dynasty". Tang Xuanzong is a merry man, he and the natural beauty of Yang Guifei fell in love, they indulged in cockfighting and dancing all day long, peony flowers, eating lychee feasts, taking hot spring baths, the sound of dogs and horses, spending all day and wine, but also led to the luxury of the whole society. It was his large-scale internal construction of the Hibiscus Garden that made it unprecedented and reached the pinnacle of its development.

The sculpture not only has the function of ornamentation, but also the inner meaning it embodies is shocking, and the three scenes show the story of the Ming Emperor and the beauties sleepwalking in Qujiang: Legend has it that the Tang Ming Emperor first met Yang Yuhuan who watched the cicadas in the imperial garden, and was overwhelmed by her beauty. In the end, in the protest of the soldiers of the three armies, Emperor Tang Ming had to kill his beloved, and Yang Yuhuan tearfully broke Ma Weipo. After losing Yang Yuhuan, the whole person fell into a lonely and barren emotion, and lingered alone in the happy places of the past all day long. One day in a dream, the Ming Emperor returned to Qujiang Furong Garden again, and once again fell into the abyss of love in the dream and could not extricate himself.

What are you hesitating about, let's dream back to the Tang Dynasty together and feel that long but intriguing love.

Imperial Garden Gate

The Imperial Garden Gate is the west gate of the Tang Paradise Garden, and it is also the main gate, with a gorgeous two-storey main gatehouse and the triple gate on the left and right, which complement each other and look magnificent; The three black and gold characters in the middle of the gate were written by Shen Peng, a famous calligrapher and art critic in China. His calligraphy works have been highly praised at home and abroad, and he has written huge works for important places such as the Great Hall of the People, Zhongnanhai, and so on. The couplets with gold characters on a black background on both sides of the gate are even more meaningful: the Yanhan Yichun Garden Qushui has been like the royal weather in the middle for thousands of years; Tang Dynasty Furong Garden, willow smoke and three springs, Tang poetry wrapped in the scenery of Dili. The grandeur of its royal garden makes people immediately be able to imagine the magnificent atmosphere of the Hundred Emperors visiting the Qujiang River and the magnificent spirit of the Tang Dynasty's welcome etiquette. It is the main gate of the Hibiscus Garden, which means the Royal Palace, and there are two theories about the reason why the west gate is the main gate. One is that the Li Tang royal family is from Longxi, so the door is open to the west; The second is because the starting point of the Silk Road is in the west, which symbolizes the inclusiveness of the Tang Dynasty, the prosperity of trade and the prosperity of the Eight Directions.

Walking into the west gate, there is a huge "jade seal", which is engraved with the golden characters of "Tang Furong Garden", and the ground below the jade seal has the seal of these five big characters. The jade seal symbolizes the feudal imperial power, and the Furong Garden is also the imperial garden of the Li Tang Dynasty, and the jade seal sculpture shape also renders the magnificent atmosphere of the royal garden from the perspective of artistic aesthetics.

On both sides of the jade seal are flags fluttering in the hunting wind, and the 84 flag pillars symbolize the area of Chang'an City in the Tang Dynasty of 84 square kilometers, and the other meaning is the meaning of smiling and welcoming guests and friends from all directions. In the Tang Dynasty, the powerful crossbow has begun to be used as a long-distance projection weapon, the enemy army is first subjected to the impact of long-distance arrow rain before attacking, and the range of the enemy's cavalry bow and arrow is far less than that of the strong crossbow, which effectively offsets the harassment of the enemy cavalry on the military formation, so that the military array is still invincible in the face of cavalry. When it advances, it is unstoppable, like a mountain moving forward, crushing everything that stands in its way.

Hibiscus Bridge

Furong Bridge, which is built with white marble according to the shape of Zhaozhou Bridge, reflects the highly developed science and technology and brilliant architectural art of China in the Sui and Tang dynasties. The bridge is 66 meters long and 11 meters wide, and the whole is silvery-white, so it has the elegant name of the silver bridge.

Silver Bridge Waterfall

This magnificent landscape is a combination of the Hibiscus Bridge and the waterfall in front of it that flows down from the West Mountain. The water flows down from the high mountain cliff, forming several stacks of waterfalls, because the amount of water is larger, the waterfall roars like thunder on the ground, the waves splash everywhere, the smoke and water are diffuse, form a seven-color rainbow in the sun, it is very spectacular and beautiful. Interested friends can choose a good location to take a photo, and they will definitely be able to take away the beautiful seven-colored rainbow.

The landscape of "Silver Bridge Waterfall" is based on the legendary story of the white dragon of Qujiang in the Tang Dynasty. Legend has it that during the Tang Dynasty, Chang'an City was in a great drought for more than a month, and life was difficult due to the heat and lack of water. At that time, Xiao Xin was Jing Zhaoyin, and he knew that the residence of the Jingzhu Temple was not empty, and Sanzang could do the rain of the law, so he insisted on asking him. Sanzang only agreed to come down, let him take the rest of the length of the bark, put a small dragon on it, put the incense burner holy water in front, and recite a spell, that is, the dragon was given to Xiao Xin and said: "You can throw it into the Qujiang River." Go home immediately after dropping it, and don't get caught in the rain. Xiao Xin did as he said, and threw Xiaolong in the Qujiang River. Soon, a white dragon more than a foot long shook its head and swayed its tail from the water of the Qujiang River, and in an instant, it became several zhang long, and the color was like a bright white silk forging, straight up to the sky. Xiao Xin galloped back, and before he could take dozens of steps, dark clouds rolled, lightning and thunder roared, and torrential rain fell. By the time he reached Yongchongfang, the water on the street was already flowing like a small river.

This story is of course legendary, but the place where Qujiang prayed for rain in Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, should be true, when Li Gan was Jing Zhaoyin, he made a mud dragon by the Qujiang Pond to ask for rain, and there were thousands of onlookers.

Hibiscus Six Horses

At the foot of the West Mountain, the edge of the pond is the copper imitation of the "Six Horses of Zhaoling", which reproduces the majestic posture of the six war horses in the battle array, galloping on the battlefield.

"Zhaoling Six Horses" is originally placed in Shaanxi Liquan Jiujun Mountain in front of the six horses in front of the Zhaoling of Tang Taizong. The six horses, whose names are Baihuwu, Tellebi, Saluzi, Qinghu, Shivachi, and Gua, refer to the six horses that Tang Taizong rode and fought in the war to unify the country, symbolizing the six major battles experienced by Tang Taizong. When Tang Taizong built the Zhaoling Tomb, the edict set up the Zhaoling Six Horses, in addition to commending his outstanding military exploits in the process of the establishment of the Tang Dynasty, it was also a commemoration of these war horses that had depended on each other, and warned future generations of descendants to start a business and be prepared for danger in times of peace.

Lotus pond fishing

At the foot of the west hill on the south side of Furong Lake, there is a nine-curved bridge stretching out to the lake, forming a square pond in the middle of the lake. The water of the pond is clear, the lotus flowers are fragrant, the fish are shallow bottom, and the colorful colors of the swimming fish can still be seen under the water waves. Therefore, the landscape is called the lotus pond and the fish. No matter day or night, mist will be sprayed around the lotus pond at regular intervals, and it looks like smoke and water are blurred and clouds are steaming. The lotus pond is ethereal and faint in the lake, like a mirage, and you will feel like a fairyland when you look at it from afar or walk in.
