Founded in 1974 in the United States, the main production of acoustic guitars and electric guitars, the Les Paul series can be called a classic, the world's famous musical instrument production company
The Gibson family of electric guitar instruments, collectively known as "Gibson USA", was established in 1974 from its Nashville, Tennessee, USA facility. At that time, the factory focused on the development and production of LES PAUL electric guitar series products. DESPITE THE DOWNTURN IN THE GUITAR INDUSTRY AT THE END OF THE 70'S, GIBSON MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS MAINTAINED A STRONG SPIRIT OF INNOVATION. In response to the demand for classic guitars, GIBSON Musical Instruments relaunched the "dot-neck" version of the ES-335 in 1981 and the Les Paul in 1982 in 1982. At the same time, two legends of the guitar industry joined Gibson, the 1980 B.B. King brought the Lucille guitar and in 1982 Chet Atkins brought his ideas for a solid acoustic guitar.
In 1984, after the closure of the Kalamazoo factory, GIBSON moved its headquarters to Nashville. In 1986, under the leadership of Henry Juszkiewicz and David Berryman, the company was able to extricate itself from financial troubles, and the two new presidents quickly restored the prestige of Gibson instruments with the quality of their products, which also led to the very good results of Gibson Musical Instruments.
Today's Gibson electric guitar represents its illustrious history and heralds the future of electric guitars. Classics spanning more than 40 years of musical style – the ES-175, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, Firebird, SG and LesPaul guitars – all set the GIBSON brand to its broad appeal and meet all the requirements of a guitarist's need for a good electric guitar. This has led to a close relationship between GIBSON instruments and musicians, including signature guitars for King, Atkins, jazz greats such as Howard Roberts and Herb Ellis, and new Les Paul guitars for rock stars Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. In 1994, the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the GIBSON brand, the "Nighthawk" style guitar developed by the company won the Industrial Design Award, laying a new stage for the second century of "quality and innovation" for GIBSON musical instruments.
