High-tech business district
Although the high-tech business district started later than the Zhonglou business district and Xiaozhai business district, the business district has great potential. At the beginning, there were only old shopping malls such as Century Jinhua and Golden Eagle International in the high-tech zone, and no real business district was formed. It was not until the past two years that major shopping malls such as Sunshine World, Zhongda International, Wanda, and T11 settled in, and gradually formed a high-tech business district.
The high-tech business district not only gathers a large number of office buildings of financial securities and Internet companies, but also covers Xi'an's luxury residential groups and high-end hotel groups. Most of the shopping malls in the area are used as supporting commercial buildings to meet the needs of business people, providing mid-to-high-end shopping, dining and leisure and entertainment services.
Business white-collar workers, fashionable people and middle-class families are the main customer groups of high-tech business districts. This type of customer pays more attention to the consumption environment and product quality when consuming, and also has a deeper preference for leisure and entertainment in shopping malls. Therefore, most of the shopping malls in the high-tech business district are exquisitely decorated and have a comfortable environment.
CUHK International Business Centre
Located at the intersection of Gaoxin Road and Keji 2nd Road, the Zhongda International Business Center, together with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Zhongda International Residence No. 9, forms the THE CITY urban complex. Opened in 2016, CUHK International Business Centre is a collaboration between a number of internationally renowned architectural and landscape design firms.
The commercial center is huge, with complete brands, life, catering, services, and entertainment. The first Olé supermarket in the high-tech zone is located on the first floor of the shopping mall, supplying tens of thousands of goods, most of which are imported goods with better quality. The food on the fourth floor is piled up, and brands such as Shu Garden and Jinyi Hall are among them. On the fifth floor, there are two restaurants, Ichimatsukyo Restaurant and Viagra Garden Restaurant, both of which have a pleasant environment.
The first floor of the mall is mainly for jewellery accessories and menswear, among which Alexander McQueen's diffusion line McQ, Neil Barrett, DSquared2 and jewellery brand Qeelin are all entering Xi'an for the first time. The second floor is mainly clothing and life experience stores, such as i.t's first store in Xi'an, CHAMPION and Aape. It is worth mentioning that there is also a children's playground designed and built by David Tyler in the three-storey women's clothing area, which brings convenience to female consumers with children.
The interior environment of CUHK International Business Centre is spacious and bright, with a loose arrangement of single-storey pavements and a wide view of the vertical space in the middle, so there will be no sense of crampedness in it. The elevators and escalators are symmetrically designed, and the layout of the shopping mall is clear at a glance.
West City Mall
Many shopping malls in Xi'an will more or less integrate the architectural style of the Han and Tang dynasties, and the Xishicheng shopping center is one of the most thorough. The Tang West Market project is part of the Xi'an Municipal Government's "Imperial City Revitalization Plan", and at first glance, the West Market City does look like a miniature version of the Imperial City.
