Xianlin University Town has gathered a number of colleges and universities, with a huge student body, and the generated consumer demand has driven the development of Xianlin business district. In general, the development of Xianlin business district is not fast, compared with Baijiahu, Hexi and other emerging business districts, the radiation range is small, the consumer groups are mainly surrounding residents and students, and the passenger flow is not high.
The shopping malls in the business district are relatively scattered, and in the past, they have been dominated by small low-end complexes, mainly to meet the catering and living consumption needs of surrounding residents and students. Later, Golden Eagle Outlet City was transformed into Golden Eagle Lakeside World, which became the boss of Xianlin business district, making up for the gap in mid-to-high-end consumption. Comparatively speaking, Dongchenghui, Aishang Street Shopping Plaza, Jiuxiao Commercial Plaza, etc. are small in size, with low per capita consumption and less passenger flow, and some shops in individual shopping malls have been evacuated and are slightly deserted.
Metro Line 2 runs directly through the Xianlin business district, and the bus is widely distributed and the transportation is convenient. At the same time, the road is wide, the parking space in the business district is relatively sufficient, and it is quite convenient to drive there.
Golden Eagle Lakeside World
Golden Eagle Lakeside Place, which was expanded from Golden Eagle Outlet City, reopened at the end of 2017 and is built around Xianle Lake. Golden Eagle is divided into two areas, Zone A is the original Outlet City, and Zone B is a new shopping mall, and there is a plaza around the lake with outdoor activities.
There are six venues in Ole City, namely the Women's Boutique Pavilion, the Men's Gentleman's Pavilion, the Sports and Leisure Pavilion, the Home and Children's Pavilion, the Trendy Food Pavilion and the Exotic Food Pavilion. Most of the shops settled in are well-known brands, and all of them have different degrees of discounts. Some of the stores are still being renovated and not all of them are open. The venues are interconnected and easy to access, but the floors are too dense, and the space is narrow, bringing a strong sense of crampedness.
Compared with Outlet City, the shopping mall has more abundant formats and a more comfortable environment. Supermarkets, bookstores, catering and clothing, amusement and entertainment, home furnishing, mother and child, and digital training are covered in one fell swoop, and the brands are mainly concentrated in the middle and high-end. In addition to G-BEAUTY cosmetics stores, Uniqlo, Apple flagship stores, and G-TAKAYA stores, there are also many specialty stores worth paying attention to. For example, MEIN FRIEDN, which is the country's first Chinese comic-themed café authorized by Shanghai Meiying Studio, integrates classic animation elements of Monkey King and Hulu Brothers in the store, which is very special. The shopping mall is a great place to stay, with generous retail layouts, clear glass ceilings and walls that let in natural light, a bright and transparent interior, and lake views. Another major component of Area B, the Lake Plaza, is the main venue for family leisure, equipped with mini trains, amusement equipment, etc., but the number of facilities is not large at present, and will be added in the future.
