Founded in 2011, ZOZO is one of the first cocktail bars in Wuhan, and in its early years, it opened in the alleys of Taixingli, and although the old shop is cramped and crowded, it has a loyal following. Later, due to municipal requirements, it had to be moved to Huangxing Road, which also changed to a larger store area and a more distinctive theme style.
ZOZO is one of the most distinctive bars in Wuhan, with a Hawaiian décor and a vibrant color palette. The orange-yellow light hits the orange-red wall, which is very visually impactful. Inside the lobby, tall palm and coconut trees, thatched bars, and cow horns and masks on the walls create a Hawaiian rainforest feel. The drinking atmosphere in the store is sufficient, slightly quiet, and thanks to the partition of the decorative trees, the guests have a good sense of privacy.
Compared to its outstanding interiors, ZOZO lags slightly behind in terms of the strength of the wine list. The menu is sparse, with a focus on classic cocktails, complemented by a few specialty cocktails and a few single malt whiskies. However, ZOZO's signature cocktails are still of high quality, especially the Drunken Dream and Monkey King, the former is based on Bacardi 151 and paired with orange juice and other accessories, which are rich and soft, and have excellent integration. The latter is whiskey with fruit wine and passion fruit, which is smooth in the mouth, sweet and long-lasting aftertaste. In addition to the above-mentioned liquor, the store also sells coffee and meals, and the products are acceptable.
ZOZO's service is excellent, the waiters are friendly and friendly, and the guests are greeted very warmly. The owner was generous and sometimes gave extra drinks.
