Located in the eastern suburbs of Chengdu, Kenpai Chen Jing's home is a renovated two-villa building. Thanks to the long-term cultivation of the owner Chen Jing and Brother Long, the whole B&B is presented with a European-style classical, literary and artistic appearance, with a unique charm. After its official opening in 2016, Kampai quickly became a popular homestay in Chengdu.
The biggest feature of Kentpai is the display of vintage objects. Almost every public area and guest room has a large number of Republic of China utensils such as porcelain, cameras, clocks, table lamps and so on. In addition, the owners also displayed their paintings, handmade leather goods and furniture on the first floor of the villa and sold them, intending to integrate the cultural and creative space with the homestay format.
Kampai has a total of 8 rooms in two villas, some of which are suites with living rooms or lofts. All the soft furnishings, furniture and bathroom facilities in the guest rooms are custom-made in Chinese and Arabian retro styles, with exquisite ornaments and classical utensils, so that the simple and comfortable atmosphere is full of throughout. It is worth noting that each villa has its own outdoor courtyard, art exhibits and other public spaces, and residents can carry out activities according to the owner's arrangement.
Kenpai's guest rooms are equipped with full bedding and toiletries in addition to towels and dental kits, but some room types only have a shared bathroom. A few loft suites offer kitchens for guests to cook. Kenpai also often organizes a variety of social activities such as painting teaching, music appreciation, movie viewing, afternoon tea, etc., and the specific opening date needs to be understood with the owner.
Kampai is close to Chengdu East Railway Station and Huiwangling Metro Station, but it is relatively far away from the city's major tourist and commercial areas, so travelers need to choose to stay depending on the situation. Rates range from RMB350 to RMB550 depending on the room type and holiday needs. Whole rentals are also available, ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 RMB. At present, it can only be booked through the "Little Pig Short Rental" platform.
