For many, Fairmont is synonymous with historic landmark hotels, with listed buildings such as the Peace Hotel on the Bund in Shanghai and the Savoy Hotel in London, which hosted Charlie Chaplin. Fairmont Chengdu Palm Springs opened in late 2016 and is the fifth Fairmont hotel in China.

In terms of restaurant food, Fairmont Chengdu Palm Springs can be said to be very particular. There are 4 restaurants in the hotel, Cube is located on the left side of the lobby, there are three floors, each floor has a different theme, namely: Lobby Bar, Cocktail Bar, Japanese Restaurant. Guests can take the restaurant's dedicated elevator to and from the three floors. Located on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel, "Taste Art" is a restaurant ideal for business gatherings, focusing on authentic Sichuan cuisine in Chengdu, with 10 private dining rooms and an open-air garden that can accommodate more than 80 people. On the first floor of the hotel, the restaurant "Shi Bai Xuan" has an open kitchen and serves Asian and Western cuisine throughout the day. Located on the top two floors of the hotel, the Manhattan Bar takes the form of a "restaurant bar" with a unique mid-century retro décor overlooking the city.
Fairmont's exclusive spa brand, Willow Stream, has been highly acclaimed and is a must-try leisure activity for guests. Inspired by natural elements such as air, water and trees, the therapists tailor a treatment plan based on each guest's physical condition, offering traditional Chinese massages, foot massages and more.
There are few amusement facilities around the hotel, and although it is close to the residential area, there are not many restaurants and shopping malls around.
