Unicorn Coffee opened in 2015 on Qunyi Road, next to Southwest University of Finance and Economics. The romantic and sophisticated façade looks out of place with the surrounding old residential areas, but this does not detract from its popularity. Another reason for a full house is that the store is too small. The romantic "princess" atmosphere makes unicorns a popular place for girlfriends to get together, but the slightly cramped and noisy environment may not be suitable for an afternoon alone.

Tarot, Picasso, Eiffel, Danfeng Dew, and other dishes in the store are deliberately linked to concepts such as "art" and "romance" in their names and ideas. In terms of taste, although Unicorn plays the banner of French desserts, its sweetness and acidity have been adjusted according to the taste of Chengdu people, which is understandable for the sake of taking care of the taste of customers, but it should be based on the premise of ensuring the original taste of the ingredients. For example, the raspberry chocolate mousse in summer in the Four Seasons series has a cake with too little jam and chocolate, which does not accentuate the sweetness and sourness, and lacks the sweetness of chocolate and cream. This adjustment may alleviate the guilt of the customer's sweet tooth, but at the same time, the original flavor of some of the ingredients is lost, and the pleasure of tasting the sweet tooth is reduced. The desserts in the Unicorn store are available in limited quantities and are produced in small quantities, and the market is sold out before 5pm.

Although the staff are formally dressed and wear white gloves, the quality of service is not comparable to that of "hotel-style" cake shops such as Black Swan, or even as intimate as individual brands such as Shu Ai and Shy Guys, and even the usual things like pouring water are ignored by clerks. Overall, the craze for online celebrity cake shops has made the store famous, but its products and service are far from top-notch.
