Located on the 37th floor of the Fairmont Golden Au Hotel, the restaurant is one of the most worthwhile western restaurants in Nanjing, although it is a steakhouse, but the food served is not inclined to the grill type, the matrix is roughly the same as that of high-end western restaurants, and the quality is also known for its stability.
Similar to the first-place InterContinental Greenland Cloud Restaurant, the steak is also imported from the Australian Gold Award Ranch Stockyard, while the top steak is served by KIWAMI9M-grade Wagyu Sirloin and Chilled Wagyu 8M Tenderloin at 10g/46 yuan and 10g/54 yuan respectively. The second choice is Australian Black Angus steak, which is made of four types of sirloin, rib-eye, tenderloin and T-bone, and the quality is around M5 grade. In terms of production, the steak is stable in doneness, and except for the tomahawk steak, only salt and black pepper are used to flavor it by default to preserve the true taste of the beef.
The main course is worth paying attention to, with a number of classic dishes such as silver cod, Wagyu oysters, grass-fed lamb chops and garlic tiger prawns, all prepared in accordance with Western traditions. The soup is Canadian lobster bisque, which is made with Boston lobster, dill and lemon oil. Desserts include vanilla egg stew, cheesecake, hickory brownie and tiramisu, among which Baked Alaska's "Fire and Ice Heavens" is made with red velvet cake and berry jam as ingredients, and is served with red wine to ignite the fire to form a "volcano".
The restaurant has an elegant environment, with coconut brown and camel tones dominating the style, and the introduction of glass closets, wrought iron lighting and wood ceilings to set off the atmosphere, with a deep retro look. The service occasionally has the disadvantage of lack of enthusiasm, and some waiters have an indifferent attitude and grim face, and their performance does not match the tone of the restaurant.
At present, the attendance rate of the restaurant on weekdays is not high, but the seats along the window are more popular, so it is recommended to book 1-2 days in advance. There is no additional service charge for dining.
