sankhya yoga is a yoga brand created by VYC, the founding unit of the Asian Physiotherapy Yoga Association, and only entered the Chinese market in 2016. Because of its strong teaching team and rich curriculum, it has opened five yoga clubs and one yoga training institute in Shanghai in just two years.
The highlight of Sankhya Yoga is that its team of teachers have a wealth of experience in both knowledge and teaching. The University of Yoga is the only educational institution approved by the Government of India to provide yoga physiotherapy and study the science of yoga, covering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Sankhya Yoga Studio has hired yoga instructors who graduated from Banxi Yoga University, certified teachers of Yoga Alliance of America, and champions of fitness yoga competitions to form a teaching team. In addition to Chinese yoga teachers, there are also teachers from India, Nepal, Russia, Ukraine and other countries. If you encounter a foreign teacher in class, there will be a mixture of Chinese and English, but they have clear instructions and do not need to worry about teaching obstacles.
Sankhya Yoga includes physical and mental conditioning, exercise, weight loss and body shaping, postpartum recovery and other links, focusing on physiotherapy yoga to restore one's own state, including various modern yoga courses such as heat. This kind of curriculum is enough to satisfy most people, and the small class and aerial yoga settings also enrich the choice. However, the number of classes is not comparable to that of a yoga studio like Just Yoga, which has about 40 classes per week. There are no morning classes scheduled and classes are held after 12 noon. In addition to offering courses for students, Sankhya also has teacher training courses and can award Sankhya International Yoga Academy Certificates and Yoga Alliance USA Certified RYT Certificates. In Sankhya Yoga classes, the number of students in each class is not too large, and the teacher can take care of each student, which makes it easier for beginners to get the results of yoga practice and constantly correct their asanas.
It is important to note that the configuration of Sankhya Yoga halls is not the same. The Wujiaochang Hall has more complete hardware facilities and a unique rest area, while the Jing'an Temple Hall is a little narrower and not easy to find, and occasionally there is no reception. It is recommended that practitioners make an appointment by phone in advance, with preference for afternoon and evening sessions. If there are no high requirements for the hardware facilities of the venue, the teacher configuration like Sankhya is relatively cost-effective for practicing yoga.
