Founded in 2011, Megson is a youth English education brand jointly founded by New Oriental and Mag-Hill Education Group in the United States, mainly serving Chinese teenagers aged 3-18.

Compared with Disney and Sesame Street, Megson's curriculum is more test-oriented. It is divided into Early Childhood (3-6 years old), Young Childhood (6-9 years old), Young Adult (9-14 years old) and Study Abroad Preparation (12-18 years old). For example, in its early childhood curriculum, Magson focuses on activating children's listening and speaking skills, while cultivating their interest in reading. Unlike many other training institutions, Megson starts teaching children the alphabet and words at this stage, but it is by no means rote memorization. For example, when teaching the letter "K", let the child use a flour bag to learn kangaroo to jump; When remembering the words "kitten" and "mitten", the phrase "kitten with a mitten" is easy to understand and impressive. After completing the whole course, you can basically meet the English learning requirements for primary school graduation. In addition to English, Megson also focuses on training children's academic reading ability and critical thinking. The curriculum is synchronized with grades 7-12 (i.e., 13-18 years old) in the United States, which can lay the foundation for future study abroad.

Different from other institutions, Megson's Chinese teachers account for a large proportion of the teaching, that is, 4 Chinese teachers and 1 foreign teacher class. Therefore, Megson is the most stringent of all institutions in the selection of Chinese teachers: all hold TKT certificates, and have obtained CET-6, TEM-4 or IELTS, TOEFL and other English proficiency test certificates, many Chinese teachers are transferred from New Oriental, and the teaching quality is guaranteed. However, in the selection of foreign teachers, Megson does not have such a high standard, and at least requires their pronunciation to be pure and pass systematic training.

Magson's class schedule is also 2 times a week, once during the week and once on weekends, 2 lessons each time, each class lasts 45 minutes. There will be 15 minutes of study before each class, mainly to review and test the content of the last study and the completion of homework; After class, the teacher will release a report to parents, including the results of the pre-class test, the content of the class learning and the content of the homework. There are a total of 160 class hours throughout the year, and the fee is 21,000 yuan/year, including textbooks.
