Founded in 1949, China Travel Service (CTS) is the first travel agency in New China, and is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Tourism Group Corporation and China Hong Kong China Travel Service Group Corporation. The tourism business of CTS in Beijing and North China is handled by China Travel Service (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
The coverage rate of travel destinations of China Travel Service in Beijing is not as high as that of its peers such as China International Travel Service and China Youth Travel Service, but it also has its own characteristics in some routes. For example, the Nordic line is one of the strengths of CTS, which is basically operated independently by CTS, the itinerary is pure and clean, the depth of sightseeing is also quite high, the quality of meals is good, and the standard accommodation of "4 stars" is higher than that of similar routes of other travel agencies. In addition to the Nordic line, the Beijing CTS group is mainly concentrated in popular destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Thailand. Compared with overseas travel, CTS has little advantage in domestic travel. Northeast travel is the strength of CTS's domestic tours, with relatively mature group routes in Jilin, Changbai Mountain, Harbin and other places, as well as independent travel products with better resources.
CTS has more than 20 stores in Beijing, and the staff of the stores are decent and inefficient. The official website of CTS "Star Travel Network" is rough, the experience is not smooth, and occasionally there will be a situation where the online information and the offline information do not match exactly.
