Morton's of Chicago, The Steakhouse is a steakhouse chain with more than 78 branches, founded in Chicago in 1978, and is one of the most prestigious branded steakhouse chains in the United States. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of F&B management giant Landry's. Located on the second floor of the Regent Jinbao Street, Beijing's Moulton Steakhouse opened in late 2012. At present, Moulton's classic brand Moulton Steakhouse has nine branches overseas, and the others are located in Shanghai Pudong, Shanghai Puxi, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Taipei, Toronto and Mexico City. Moulton's Steakhouse has been highly regarded in the U.S. and around the world, and the Beijing store is no exception, receiving numerous accolades since opening. Since 2013, Beijing Moulton has been listed in the annual dining guide of WineSpectator, one of the world's most influential wine publications, for several consecutive years. In 2016, Beijing Moulton won the Best Menu and Best Restaurant awards of the DiningCity Tasting Week, and Beijing Moulton was named the Best Western Restaurant of the Year 2016-2017 by Olive Restaurant Review's Feast China. The slogan of Moulton's Steakhouse is the global taste uniformity, and they have very high requirements for the "consistency" of each branch, and the taste of any Moulton restaurant is basically the same. Generally speaking, at Moulton Steakhouse, customers don't have to worry about discounted flavors. In the U.S. and the rest of the world, Moulton uses the USDA's Prime grade of beef, which is the highest grade in the U.S. and Canada, and only 2% of the U.S. beef is classified as Prime. However, due to China's import restrictions on U.S. beef, restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai have long had to switch to Australian cattle instead, ensuring quality above the Australian standard M7 level. After the import restrictions were lifted in 2017, Moulton has introduced American Prime beef in due course, and the Beijing store began offering it in early October, and now American beef and Australian beef are on Moulton's menu at the same time. Moulton offers diners a variety of steak options such as rib eye, beef tenderloin (filet), sirloin, T-bone and porterhouse, and the price of American beef is slightly higher than that of Australian beef. Among them, the beef tenderloin is worth recommending, the meat is tender and soft, the taste is uniform, the cutting is smooth, and it is quite standard. The New York Strip is also available for its rich, chewy, oily and shiny texture, while the other sirloin steak, Wagyu Sirloin, is made from Australian Wagyu beef. Cajun naked eye, fine T-bones, etc. are also good choices. Steaks can be served with sauces and side dishes, and asparagus with egg yolk butter sauce and other side dishes are not bad. Similar to Wolfgang Steakhouse, Moulton's steaks are grilled in an American oven with a temperature of over 800 degrees. Of course, this does not mean that Moulton's beef is inferior to dry-aged steakhouses, the two have different flavors, and diners have different taste preferences, so you can taste and judge for yourself. In addition to beef, Dungeness crab cakes are one of the most clicked dishes in the restaurant, made from freshly dismantled crab meat, with a crispy crust, firm and sweet meat, and a moderate amount of seasoning, served with lemon juice and mustard sauce to enhance the flavor, even without dipping sauce, the crab meat is delicious enough. For American steakhouses, seafood is also a must, tuna tower, Alexandra Jumbo shrimp, oysters, etc., the production is quite good, and you can choose to taste seafood platter. The restaurant will introduce seasonal new dishes and limited-time seasonal dishes from time to time, and the menu will be updated from time to time, and the menu will be rich and rich. Moulton has a relatively rich wine list in the city's steakhouse restaurants, mostly red wines paired with beef, and less champagne and white wine. Its U.S. wine collection is second to none in the country, and it also has a large selection of French, Italian, Spanish, South African and other wines, as well as a thermostatic wine storage cabinet for diners' wine selection. Several cocktails in the restaurant and bar, such as the signature MORtini, Lychee Margarita and Berry Dream, are also worth trying. After the acquisition of Moulton Steakhouse by Landry's, it began to shift from the classic American steakhouse style to a casual and fashionable one, as evidenced by the launch of a new brand in recent years, Morton's Grille, which is now available in Guangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai. Moulton's Steakhouse Beijing is the first branch of Moulton to open after being acquired by Landry's, where the hard-edged, sedate American style has been diluted and replaced by a simple, modern overall look. But in fact, as an on-site restaurant, the décor is not flattering. The main dining area has a transparent glass curtain wall, but the interior of the restaurant is softly lit. The main dining area is close to each other, and the dining is generally private. In addition to the main dining area, the restaurant also has eight private dining rooms of various sizes, suitable for corporate meetings, meetings or private family enjoyment, etc., and must be booked in advance. In addition, the restaurant has a private lounge and its signature semi-open kitchen where the ingredients are on display for diners. The service level of the restaurant is better, from the welcome, seating to the whole process of dining can get a more comfortable service, and the waiter will also help the guests store their clothes. If you have a birthday, anniversary, etc., the restaurant will provide you with a specially printed menu, as well as sweets and photos. Meals are subject to 15% service charge. The corkage fee for bringing your own drinks is 500 RMB. Parking is available in the basement of the hotel, but there is no free parking coupon. It should also be noted that Beijing Moulton Steakhouse is only available for dinner from Monday to Saturday, and is not open at noon, except for brunch at noon on Sundays.
