Tongqingtang - Institutional Reviews

Tongqingtang Teahouse is located in the Lingnan Famous Garden Orchid Garden, although it has been open for nearly ten years, but the owner is extremely low-key, and many traditional old Guangzhou do not know where Tongqingtang is. The main building of Tong Qing Tang is a two-storey traditional Chinese building, the basement floor is open to guests for tea drinking, and the second floor is a private space for the owner to receive friends and artistic creations, and is not open to the public. Located in a corner of Orchid Park, the teahouse is a renovated old house built by the water, with plenty of space for both indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. The surroundings of Tongqingtang are elegant and quiet, and there are several tea houses by the lake for guests to enjoy tea here. The lobby of Tongqingtang is made of floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and the open area is divided into a hall and rooms of different sizes, each with a different style. Walking here, you can see a lot of gas lamps from the Republic of China, colorful Manchurian windows, celadon vases, Cantonese wood carvings and old Buddha statues, which are very cultural. The clay pots used by Tongkeido to hold tea are said to be made in private kilns, but they are not sold in the store. In addition, in addition to the common teas such as raw and ripe teas, the store also offers the rare Melan Aroma Single Bush, which has a strong aroma and strong tea properties, so it will have a pronounced bitter taste, so it is not recommended for novices to try it. It should be noted that Tongqingtang has cancelled its catering service and now offers a tasting and sale of red wine in addition to tea tasting and refreshments.
