Guangzhou Desert Island Bookstore consists of two parts: a bookstore and a child development center, with children's and parent-child reading as the focus of the bookstore. The bookstore is not large, and is divided into three small sections: the desert island children's bookstore, the parent-child reading area and the adult reading area, with a mild and comfortable decoration. The books in the children's reading area include children's books, Chinese and English picture books, etc., with a wide variety and number of books, designed for young children to play and entertain, and the bookshelves are also low and compact, which is suitable for children's characteristics. The parent-child reading area is warm and cute, suitable for parents and children to read together. The Child Development Center next to the bookstore enrolls children in nursery classes, and a kindergarten will be opened this year, relying on each other with the bookstore's children's book area and parent-child reading area, creating a unique space for children to grow. The adult reading area is also comfortable and small, with books mainly on literature, literary theory, social science, poetry, and history. There are also several futon rooms in the adult reading area, and each compartment is filled with a variety of books, where you can sit on the floor and read quietly, which is quite comfortable. The bookstore also has an outdoor relaxation area and an outdoor courtyard, which is a secret garden in the middle of the city. Guangzhou's desert island bookstore is located on the third floor of Wokai Street in Tianhebei, just upstairs of 1200bookshop Wokai Street store, but the location is quite secret, and many regulars of 1200 bookstore may not know about the existence of desert island bookstore. Different from the literary atmosphere of 1200bookshop, Desert Island Bookstore is quieter and niche, and the style is more light and bright. The bookstore also holds lectures, reading salons and other activities from time to time, and it is a small cultural base with quite a lot of characteristics.
