This fairy tale paradise that brings happiness to children also brings its core concept of joy into English teaching. Disney English is a direct training brand of The Walt Disney Company, with more than 35 years of experience in English training, with organizations in 50 countries around the world, and has entered China in 2008, which is now in its 10th year.

Fun is the key to getting your child into English learning as quickly as possible. Based on its deep story background and well-known animated characters, Disney makes full use of multimedia software to implement integrated teaching methods, such as storytelling, plot performance and game interaction. The classroom is equipped with a smart whiteboard and two projections, so that children can listen to stories and learn words and sentences in the process of interacting with the teacher.

The course is designed for children aged 2-12 years old. Other children's English training institutions start with 3-6 years old, while Disney also offers Initiation Exploration classes for 2-3 years old, 3-6 years old for nurseries, and 6-12 years old for children. Taking the Enlightenment Exploration Class as an example, the teaching is based on the basic cognition of life, and the four theme activities of music, handicraft, language and story run through the curriculum, so as to prepare children aged 2-3 to enter kindergarten and stimulate their interest in English. If you want your child to be exposed to English as early as possible, Disney's curriculum gives parents of younger children more choices.

Disney English is taught by foreign teachers, assisted by Chinese teachers, mainly in small classes, and foreign teachers are recruited from the U.S. headquarters and sent to China. Teachers are required to hold a TEFL or TESOL professional certificate, a pure English accent and professional teaching qualifications, which are also Disney's strict requirements in terms of teachers. Chinese teaching assistants also need to have a bachelor's degree and knowledge of child psychology.

There is only one Disney English center in Shenzhen, which adopts a small class teaching method, and the classes are divided into weekday classes and weekend classes. The weekday class has one class each Monday and Thursday, and the course starts after 4 p.m., and the weekend class starts after 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with a total of 96 class hours throughout the year, and the cost is about 26,000 yuan. This is a bit inconvenient for families who are far away from the learning center, especially the timing and transportation options, which should be considered appropriately, and the story-based teaching of Disney English may seem a little naïve to older children. Therefore, Disney English is more suitable for young children's English initiation.
