Yucai No. 3 Middle School started later than Yucai No. 2 Middle School, founded in September 2003, and began to enroll students independently in September 2004.
The school's performance has shown a gradual upward trend, with the four major rates rising from 6.25% in 2015 to 10.48% in 2017, ranking seventh in Nanshan District, and the top student in the 2014 Shenzhen High School Entrance Examination came from Yucai No. 3 Middle School. In 2017, the number of students admitted to the eight major universities of the school was 144, with a rate of 30.19%, ranking ninth in the city; 152 students were admitted to the top ten, with a rate of 31.81%, ranking 14th in the city. Yucai No. 3 Middle School is located on the bank of Shenzhen Bay, the campus covers an area of 22,345 square meters, with a construction area of 14,632 square meters, a greening rate of 50%, a quiet environment and pleasant scenery. There are many clubs in Yucai No. 3 Middle School, including shooting, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, aerobics clubs, etc., which hold activities from time to time, rather than having an empty shell. But in the third year of junior high school, students are no longer allowed to join clubs.
