Wenhua School is the birthplace of Nanshan Foreign Chinese School, and it is also a traditional famous school in Nanshan District, and its predecessor is the Wenhua Department of Nanshan Foreign Chinese School. The school is located in the science and technology park, close to Keyuan Park, convenient transportation and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, covering an area of 29,538 square meters. The campus has advanced and complete teaching facilities such as multimedia computer room, electronic reading room, music room, dance room, instrumental music training room and art calligraphy room, classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, and the school also has a gymnasium, a 300-meter playground and two basketball courts.

Also due to the backing of Nanwai High School, Wenhua School has a higher top ten rate, ranking around the fifth place in the city, and the top ten rate in previous years was between 40% and 55%. In 2017, the number of students admitted to the school was 199, and 30 students were admitted to the Big Four, with a rate of 15.08%; 51 people were admitted to the Eight Universities, with a rate of 25.63%, ranking 19th in the city; 93 students were admitted to the top ten, with a top ten rate of 46.73%, ranking fifth in the city.

The school does not set up key classes, and adopts a serpentine class, and the results of each class are balanced. Like Gaoxin High School, Mandarin School focuses on English, and the school is the birthplace of film dubbing classes. The content of this course is to select the content of an English movie as a teaching material, select new words from it, train sentence patterns and grammar, and learn English through the process of appreciation, analysis, modeling, acting, and matching. At present, the school has developed the country's first set of English film dubbing textbooks - "English Film Listening and Speaking Grading Course".

Like many schools, Mandarin School has sunshine sports activities. Sports activities such as rope skipping, basketball, and football are offered after school in the afternoon, which are in charge of special teachers, included in the evaluation mechanism, and also prepare for the physical education high school entrance examination.

There are many clubs in Wenhua School, including pastry club, computer DIY, micro-film, etc., but only the first and second year students can participate. Wenhua School does not have a dormitory, students are day students, go home at noon or rest in a nearby lunch care institution, the lunch care institution charges 5000~8000 yuan/semester. Breakfast and lunch are provided in the school cafeteria, and most students do not think the school meals are good.
