Ozu Concept Study, I believe that anyone who knows a little about movies can guess the origin of its name - the famous Japanese director Yasujiro Ozu, movies and cats are the two major themes of the bookstore.
For many literary and artistic youths, although Ozu is not a large space, the overall layout is the appearance of an ideal home, with a study, a living room, a movie screening room, and a kitchen on the first floor, and a toilet, floor shop, and café on the second floor. It can be said that although the sparrow is small, it has all kinds of organs.
Ozu's books are not many, mainly placed on the right wall on the first floor, and more than half of them are related to movies, and the rest are mostly humanities and social science works. Film-related books are arranged in separate cabinets, with Hitchcock's photo frame placed in the upper right, and below it are "Abbas's Poems", "Polanski's Biography", "Kitano Takeshi's Self-Statement", "Poet and Director Fei Mu", "Goodbye Yang Dechang - A Chronicle of Interviews with Taiwanese Filmmakers" and other related books of film masters. The "kitchen" is a place where you can prepare coffee and drinks, and the living room is slightly larger and the movie screen can be lowered from above. There are several soft sofas on the "living room", which has a strong family atmosphere, plus large and small chairs, which can accommodate up to dozens of people, and instantly transforms into a movie screening room.
A narrow staircase leads to the lower tones of the second floor. The second floor resembles an elongated concave handrail aisle with several double coffee tables on top of it for reading and reminiscing. At the end of the aisle, there are mats and about seven pillows, where you can sit and chat, sing and play the guitar. The projector is suspended to the right of the aisle, giving a bird's-eye view of the overall layout of the first floor.
The owner of the study has two cats, which is suitable for cat lovers. In addition, the store's obsession with cats is evident in every corner – two crooked heads of cats are in front of the bookstore, and almost every bookshelf has kittens of different shapes and shapes.
Of course, as a movie-themed bookstore, Ozu regularly screens some movies in the store, and invites some independent directors to share with the bookstore, so readers who love movies should not miss it.
