If there's only one ballet flats I recommend, it's Repetto. In 1947, Rose Repetto opened a small workshop in Paris to make dancing shoes for her son Roland petit, a dancer. Rose Repetto's handmade shoes were more comfortable and durable than regular ballet shoes, so other dancers asked for the shoes to be ordered, and the Repetto name became a living signature. In 1959, Rose Repetto officially opened its first store at 22 rue de la Paix in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Repetto, who has always been a professional dancer maker, received a special order one day, and popular actress Brigitte Bardot asked for a flat shoe that was similar to the style of ballet shoes, but could be worn every day.
