Wataoka is a 100-year-old file shop in Hiroshima that was founded in 1890. At the end of 2017, Wataoka cooperated with GK Design, Japan's largest comprehensive design agency, to launch a cat tongue comb, which won the G-mark Good Design Award in Japan, which is the only award in Japan that is publicly evaluated for the overall design quality.
 
The cat's tongue comb is flat, with smooth lines and uniform tooth spacing, and the comb surface imitates the cat's tongue barbs, and the touch of the cat licking its own hair is simulated when brushing. The amount of brushing is small, making it more suitable for massage. The two ends of the tongue comb are designed in oval shapes of different sizes, with the wider end used to comb the cat's abdomen and inside of the hands and feet, and the narrower side used to comb the cat's head, face and chin. In addition to cats, shorthair dogs can also be used. However, the cat tongue comb is not suitable for long-haired pets, because the comb teeth are short and cannot touch the skin, and it cannot play a role in massage.
 
The cat tongue comb is made of plastic, and it only needs to be cleaned with water after use, because the heat-resistant temperature is 80 °C, and it cannot be disinfected with boiling water. The cat's tongue comb comes in gray-blue and pink and comes in a beautiful box that makes it a great gift as well.
