How about Bio Island Cod Liver Oil Brand introduction

Bio Island is a well-known Australian infant nutritional supplement brand, founded in 2008, is the nutrition sponsor brand of the Australian swimming team, although it has not been established for a long time, but it is famous enough to compare with the other two old Australian health care brands Blackmores and Swisse.

Bio Island is the largest selling cod liver oil brand on China's online sales platform, but it currently has only one cod liver oil product, which is a capsule type of cod liver oil and fish oil blend. Different from the Norwegian cod liver oil brand, Bio Island cod liver oil has significantly lower vitamin A and D content, only 100 μg (about 333 IU) of vitamin A and 0.75 μg (30 IU) of vitamin D per capsule, and the content of DHA is not superior, and the content of EPA is higher than that of DHA.

The difference in the content of Bio Island may be related to the environment in Australia, where the fishery is well developed, the sun is abundant, and the local residents are more fond of outdoor activities. Australians have more vitamin D intake through food and light, and the deficiency is less obvious than that of Chinese residents. The Australian government's recommended value for vitamin D for children and adults is 5μg RAE/day, compared with 10μg RAE/day recommended by the Chinese Nutrition Association. Blackmores Cod Liver Oil, also from Australia, also focuses on supplementing Omega-3, and its official website does not even indicate the vitamin content.

需要注意的是,在我国,人们普遍缺乏维生素D。根据首都儿科研究所吴光驰调查,39.2%的国人缺乏维生素D(血液中维生素D<20ng/ml,北纬35°以上比例可能高达六成),32.4%属于不足(低于30ng/ml)。

Bio Island Cod Liver Oil Capsules have a poor ratio of vitamins A and D, and vitamin D supplementation is inefficient, so it is not recommended for infants or adults who have obvious symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. On the other hand, the recommended daily dosage of Bio Island Cod Liver Oil is still within the safe range and can be used to prevent vitamin deficiencies.
