Haiwan Tea Industry was co-founded by Zou Bingliang, the former director of Menghai Tea Factory, and Lu Guoling, the former deputy director of Menghai Tea Factory. Zou Bingliang is the technical leader of modern Pu'er tea production, leading Menghai Tea Factory to successfully test the artificial fermentation and aging technology of modern Pu'er tea, and is respected by the industry as the "father of modern Pu'er ripe tea" and won the title of "Master of Chinese Pu'er Tea Lifetime Achievement".
 
The fermentation workshop of Gulf Tea was originally located in Anning, but the fermentation effect here has not been satisfactory, and the fermentation workshop was later moved to Menghai as its raw material acquisition and fermentation base. Gulf Tea Industry is the first self-export tea enterprise in Yunnan, the annual export volume of Pu'er tea is about 800 tons, and its tea gardens are most widely distributed in Menghai, among which only Yushou, Pasha, Pazhen Tea Initial Production Institute can supply more than 1,000 tons of raw materials for initial processing every year, and in Yiwu and Lincang tea areas, Gulf Tea Industry has its own tea garden. In 2006, the raw brick tea produced by Haiwan Tea Industry won the honor of the first "China Yunnan Pu'er Tea International Expo and Fair", and in 2007, the "Old Comrade" brand Pu'er tea produced by it became the national gift Pu'er tea designated by the State Council and the special Pu'er tea provided by Zhongnanhai.
 
Compared with the benchmark ripe tea 7542, the Pu'er alcohol launched by the old comrades is made of five-year aged tea, which is more mellow and moist, thick and fragrant, and the price of each cake is 72 yuan, which is the most popular ration tea for the old comrades. The newly developed 9978 series, the taste is not as thick as the classic 75 series, may not be suitable for the taste of old tea customers, but its relatively light taste is very friendly to ordinary consumers and new tea customers, is a more suitable for the public entry-level Pu'er tea, in 2017 cooked cakes 65 yuan per cake, 2015 raw cakes priced at 94 yuan. The Struggle series is also a good ration tea, with a price of between 130-150 yuan. The loose tea and Tuo tea produced by the "Make Tea for the People of the World" series are all priced below 100 yuan.
 
The pure ancient tree raw tea cake has a high proportion in its products, and the gram weight of the tea cake is 100 grams. In the 2017 Tanchun series, the sources of raw materials for ancient trees include Xiebang, Nannuo Mountain, Yiwu Zhengshan, Jingmai and other places, among which Tanchun Jingmai has a strong mountain and wild charm, outstanding orchid fragrance, and strong sweetness, priced at 280 yuan. In 2016, the Spring Festival series of products are more abundant, among which the price of Yingchun Wind Village is as high as 864 yuan, from the ancient tree of Yiwu tea area, the taste is soft, the throat rhyme is delicate, the tea is introverted, and the honey fragrance is with orchid, the price is relatively expensive, and it is more suitable as a gift or treasured choice.
