Akbar is one of the largest tea brands in Sri Lanka and has been recognized as the world's largest exporter of Ceylon tea since 1992, with 50 million kilograms exported in 2013 to more than 80 countries worldwide. Each of Akbar's products is stamped with the sword-bearing Chow Chow logo awarded by the Sri Lankan government, which symbolizes that the tea produced is planted, made and packaged on the island of Ceylon, and has pure Ceylonese origin.
