The predecessor of 800 Xiucai is Huangpi Tea Farm, one of the original five state-owned tea farms, with a total investment of more than 200 million yuan, and is a key leading enterprise in Qingyuan City. Huangpi Tea Farm was founded in 1954, in 1965 to place Guangzhou, Shantou and other regions of the intellectual youth, in 1968 renamed the provincial organ "57" cadre school, in 1973 changed to Guangdong Province Huangpi Tea Farm, "800 Xiucai" brand came from this, rich in the color of educated youth. In 1978, due to the reception of returned overseas Chinese from Vietnam, it was renamed Huangpi Overseas Chinese Tea Farm in Guangdong Province, Huangpi Overseas Chinese Tea Farm is the only tea garden, worker, tea factory overseas Chinese tea field and traditional Yingde black tea production base in Yingde, the age of the trees is more than 40 years, and it is also the largest tea garden in a single tea garden in Yingde at present, Huangpi Tea Farm covers an area of 6.5 square kilometers and has 3,000 acres of tea gardens, including 1,200 acres of "Yinghong No. 9" and 300 acres of new "Yinghong No. 9" have been grafted.
 
Relying on the Huangpi Tea Field, the tea garden environment, tea age and other conditions of 800 Xiucai are relatively close to the self-owned tea garden base of the Guangdong Provincial Tea Institute, and for the needs of more in-depth tea technology research and innovation, 800 Xiucai has become the only cooperative enterprise of the Tea Institute, which is also the first black tea science and technology innovation demonstration base in Yingde City.
