Compared to Vertiv or Vertiv, Emerson is a more well-known name in China. In 2016, the network power business of high-end UPS giant Emerson was acquired and an independent company was formed, which is Vertiv. Vertiv is an absolute industrial-grade UPS giant, accounting for more than half of the global UPS market share together with Eaton and APC.

Even in today's increasingly competitive UPS market, Vertiv Emerson has always been synonymous with high-end reliability.
As a traditional UPS manufacturer, Vertiv has less involvement in low-power, mid-to-low-end UPS than Eaton. Even for its low-power models, Vertiv only has an online UPS. Completely different from back-up and online interaction, online UPS can provide pure power to the equipment at any time. The power supply of the mains grid will not be directly transmitted to the equipment side, the online UPS will first convert the mains power into direct current, and then restore it to pure sine wave alternating current through a precision inverter, which can filter out all the clutter in the mains power, so that the load equipment can obtain the best power environment. In the event of a power failure, almost all online UPSs can be switched seamlessly, that is, the power switching time is 0 milliseconds, which is a real "uninterruptible power supply". On-line UPS has always been the standard for precision instruments.
Vertiv's low-power UPS is represented by the GXE series, with a power of 1000VA~3000VA and can be connected to 800~2400W load equipment, which is also a unique advantage of online UPS. UPS power is measured in VA and is called apparent power, but this does not mean that the UPS can receive loads of the same wattage. Generally, the standby and online interactive UPS can only access the load of about 60% of the apparent power, but the online UPS can increase this value to more than 80%.
However, while the power supply can be filtered to provide a quality power supply, there are some problems with online UPS. Since the device does not stand by and needs to work for a long time, all online UPSs have a fan to cool the heat. On-line UPSs consume more power and are noisier than the other two types. Therefore, generally speaking, online UPS is more suitable for computer rooms, data centers, etc., and you need to be more cautious when using them at home. At present, the price of GXE series ranges from 1400~3000 yuan.
