How about Huawei|Honor charger brand introduction

Recommended models: Huawei CP84, Huawei CP58S, Honor AP58S, Huawei 18W QC2.0 charger

Many of Huawei's categories are operated under the dual brands of Huawei and Honor, typical of which are mobile phones and tablets, with Huawei focusing on the mid-to-high-end, while Honor is mainly oriented to the cost-effective market, and the price is slightly lower than that of Huawei products of the same grade. The same is true for the charger category, but the products are mainly Huawei, and there is only 1 Honor charger. It should be noted that chargers are OEM production, which is the status quo of the entire industry, and Huawei is no exception.

Another feature of Huawei's charger product line is that it is based on original chargers, supports Huawei's own SCP/FCP fast charging protocol, and is compatible with QC 2.0. In addition, the QC 2.0 standard has lagged behind at present, and it is generally not recommended to buy non-Huawei devices.

Huawei's Super Charge Protocol (SCP), like OPPO VOOC and OnePlus DASH, is essentially a fast charging solution that increases power by pulling up the current, with a maximum power of 22.5W (5V/4.5A, 4.5V/5A), which is slightly higher than the maximum power of about 20W in VOOC/DASH, and is compatible with Huawei's old FCP protocol (maximum 9V/2A).

If you are a user who is used to playing while charging, the experience of this scheme is better, but on the contrary, the high-current scheme has higher requirements for the charging cable and the charger itself, requiring a thicker charging cable and a higher-end power treatment scheme, which also means a higher cost.

SCP also has a disadvantage that the power of more than 20W is maintained in the actual charging process for too short a time, if you start charging from 0 power, it can only last about 30 minutes, and the charging capacity at this time is about 50%, and then the power will drop quickly, and when it drops to about 6.3w, it exits SCP and enters the normal charging mode, which causes the old version of FCP (9V/2A) to be fully charged The total time is not much different from SCP, SCP fast charging is actually more suitable for users who need to charge their mobile phones to a certain amount of power in a short time.

Huawei CP84 40W fast charging is Huawei's current flagship series, which is the standard charger of the Mate20 Pro/Mate20 RS, which supports up to 10V/4A. However, as mentioned before, the scope of the SCP Super Fast Charging protocol is too narrow, and currently only supports Mate20 Pro/Mate20 RS mobile phones, but these two mobile phones include this charger as standard, and there is little demand. If it is other Huawei devices, the maximum charging power will automatically be reduced to about 20W, although it is compatible with QC 2.0, but the price of 159 yuan is obviously not cost-effective.

If you have enough charging time, or need to use it for non-Huawei devices, it is actually more suitable to buy a Huawei 18W charger. This charger is Huawei's old product, supports HiSilicon fast charging (FCP) and Qualcomm QC2.0 fast charging protocol, supports 9V/2A or 5V/2A mode, and is compatible with Huawei mobile phones and most other Android devices, but the price is only 69 yuan, which is only about half of CP84.

If you need to charge multiple devices at the same time, you can choose Huawei CP58S or Honor AP58S three-port charger, the appearance and paper parameters are exactly the same, the prices are 149/129 yuan, Honor is slightly cheaper, but it is unknown whether the internal components are the same. Both are equipped with 1 Supercharge 5V/4.5A fast charging port and 2 5V/2A ordinary ports, with a maximum output power of 32.5W, which means that the two ordinary charging ports can share a total of 10W of power. If two devices are plugged into these two ports at the same time, each can only operate in 5V/1A mode.
