Kodak is a multinational photographic equipment company with a long history and remains one of the world's largest film suppliers. Although Kodak isn't the first choice for photography enthusiasts when it comes to digital cameras, Kodak's PixPro SL10 and SL25 are among the industry's most rare high-tech external mobile cameras, along with the DxO ONE and Sony QX series.
The SL25 is equipped with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with 16.35 million effective pixels, so in terms of image quality, the SL25 has little advantage over the best mobile phones on the market. The SL25 is equipped with a 24-600mm wide-angle lens that supports 25x optical zoom and optical image stabilization, which is able to meet the needs of stable shooting at different distances. The SL10 and SL25 have basically the same functional parameters, the former is inferior to the SL25 in terms of wide-angle range and optical zoom capabilities, but is on par with similar competitors from other brands.
The external cameras of these two phones are more user-friendly than DxO ONE in terms of phone adaptability, and support both IOS and Android systems. When in use, the lens can be attached to the phone via the bayonet clip, or it can be used independently by attaching the selfie stick and tripod through the bottom screw, but it needs to be connected to the phone using WiFi, and then remotely controlled and browsed through the PIXPRO Remote Viewer app, Kodak's dedicated app. According to the CIPA standard test, the two cameras support about 200 pictures in battery life.
The dimensions of the SL25 are 71×58.6×65.2mm and weigh 210g. The dimensions of the SL10 are 59.6×59.6×55.8mm and weigh 145g. Neither camera is light and compact, so it's recommended to keep the lens in a special bag when not in use. SL25 and SL10 are similar to ordinary SLR lenses in appearance, both have black and white colors to choose from, the prices of the two cameras are 1469 yuan and 999 yuan respectively, and friends who value cost performance recommend SL10.
