Aisin Co., Ltd. is a professional import and export trading company specializing in auto parts, auto maintenance equipment, hardware, machinery and equipment, power tools and other products. About 95 percent of the company's sales come from automotive parts, but the company also makes refrigeration equipment and cutting machines, as well as consumer products such as beds and sewing machines. Aisin Seiki has subsidiaries in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Aisin Japan is a company specializing in the production of automatic transmissions, which was established in 1969. It is a joint venture between Aisin and BorgWarner and is a subsidiary of Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. Toyota owns 22.2% of Aisin Seiki's shares, so Aisin is actually under Toyota. Aisin has a wide range of automatic transmissions, including 4-speed, 5-speed, 6-speed, and 8-speed automatic transmissions.
