We are navigators, but also dreamers. Steeped in a proud nautical heritage, Royal Caribbean International has been searching for beauty beyond the horizon for more than 40 years. We are never afraid of places where no one else has been. On the contrary, we are inspired by the adventurous spirit to cut through the waves and explore the unknown – this is who we are, our own course.

In 1970, we embarked on a voyage with a common goal – to change the way the world travels on cruises. It's a goal that unites us at all times, both on land and at sea. It will forever be our North Star, guiding us in the way forward. We're not going to change for the sake of change, we're going to make every guest on a cruise ship enjoy a vacation experience that can't be found anywhere else. Our business is to make dreams come true, our efforts are to make memories last a lifetime, and we help people write beautiful stories that will be passed down from generation to generation.

From our first cruise ship, the Song of Norway, to the revolutionary ship of the future, the Quantum of the SeasSM, our cruises have always exceeded the expectations of the times. In 1988, we launched the Sovereign of the Seas, a large cruise ship that was unique at the time. In 1999, another of our mega cruise ships, the Voyager of the Seas, set sail. Year after year, we continue to build bigger and better ships, and the anchoring of the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas represents a new peak for us. Soon after, the Quantum of the Seas and its sister cruise ship, Anthem of the Seas®, will be launched. But size and tonnage are not enough to be our hallmark.

All of this is due to our excellent staff, both on board and on land. It is because of them that we have achieved today's results and become an excellent cruise company.

The solid foundation of our brand can be described in one sentence: anchoring excellence. More than a decade ago, when we thought of using this phrase to describe the company's relationship with employees and passengers, to express our desire for employees, we had no idea that it would be presented to us again and again in various ways. "Anchoring excellence" can be expressed in many ways, but as described below, it reflects our attitude of continuous improvement and excellence.
