Brilliance Xinyuan is a joint venture between Brilliance Auto Group and Dongfang Xinyuan Holdings Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chongqing, the capital of China's automobiles, with the qualifications of investing in research and development of automobiles and their engines, manufacturing automobile bodies, chassis and auto parts (including engines and their accessories), selling brand automobiles, automobile engines, auto parts and their technical after-sales service.
Founded in 2002, Brilliance Auto Group owns three independent vehicle brands, "Zhonghua", "Jinbei" and "Huasong", as well as the "BMW Brilliance" joint venture brand, with total assets of more than 100 billion yuan. Brilliance Xinyuan commercial vehicle base is located in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, and its production models include microbus series (Jinbei A7, Jinbei A9, Jinbei Little Hiace), single and double-row micro trucks (Jinbei T20/T22, Jinbei T30/T32, Jinbei T50/T52). With a perfect product system, Brilliance Xinyuan achieved annual growth against the market from 2013 to 2015, and the growth rate in 2015 was more than 80%. At the end of 2015, Brilliance Xinyuan launched the Jinbei New Sea Lion built with Brilliance Jinbei Sea Lion as the quality benchmark, which was comprehensively upgraded in terms of space, configuration and power, in order to fill the market gap between micro passenger car and light passenger car.
Brilliance Xinyuan Passenger Vehicle Base is located in Fuling District, Chongqing, covering an area of 1,704 acres, and will be constructed in two phases, with a production capacity of 150,000 vehicles and engines in the first phase and 150,000 vehicles and engines in the second phase. The total investment of the project is 4.5 billion yuan, and the first phase of the project has been completed and put into operation. With more than 30 core suppliers successively settled in the park, an annual output value of 30 billion yuan will be formed. In April 2015, Brilliance Xinyuan's first 7-seater sedan-level MPV, Brilliance Jinbei 750, officially rolled off the assembly line at the passenger car base. Driven by the "dual-base" strategy, Brilliance Xinyuan has formed four major product platforms, and will launch 6 new models within three years, and a 7-seater SUV will be launched in 2018.
