FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., Jiabao, founded in 1983, is a large state-owned enterprise specializing in the production of micro car series products

The predecessor of the enterprise is FAW Jilin Light Vehicle Factory, which was founded in 1983 and was originally a local enterprise in Jilin City, and China's first mini car was successfully trial-produced here in March 1981. 

On June 28, 1991, with the formal approval of the State Administration of State-owned Assets, FAW Jilin Light Vehicle Factory was merged into a directly affiliated enterprise of FAW. 

On January 12, 2004, FAW Jilin Light Vehicle Plant was officially registered as FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd. and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of FAW Group. 

The company has 14 departments, with nearly 5,000 employees, fixed assets of 3.052 billion yuan, and two production plants: the first factory covers an area of 432,100 square meters, and the second factory covers an area of 1.3 million square meters, with a built area of 700,000 square meters. The company has five major process production capacity of "stamping, welding, painting, final assembly, and resin", as well as certain mold manufacturing capabilities and modification trial production capabilities.

As a brand management company, FAW Jilin is positioned as an important base for the group's independent small commercial passenger car business. With a sales volume of more than 150,000 in 2020, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the company will ensure the development and successful launch of new products, promote structural adjustment, continue to improve the quality of operation, adjust the business layout, promote strategic cooperation in the micro-car business, revitalize inefficient assets, and expand the development space of the micro-car business.

Among them, the goal of the "Xenia" brand is to become an independent excellent brand. Take the launch of new products as an opportunity to adjust the product structure, enrich the product camp, and reshape the brand image; Improve the degree of refinement and create high-quality products; Accelerate the sinking of network channels, and promote network integration in a reasonable and orderly manner; Actively explore overseas markets and adjust the structure of export products.

"Xenia" brand products cover the micro-passenger upgrade market and the SUV market. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, based on the "Xenia" brand, a new car was launched every year, and efforts were made to build the Xenia R7 into a star model. These include new products such as the R7, A3-SUV, and C023 and their upgraded products, and the development of new energy vehicles on this basis.

"Jiabao" brand products cover the micro-passenger and micro-card markets. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, it will mainly expand the differentiated market on the basis of trucks and develop new energy products on the basis of micro-buses.
