Founded in 2001, New Continent Honda is funded by New Continent Holdings Co., Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of US$130 million and a 50% equity ratio in China and Japan. The company has 3,800 employees, two production bases in Shanghai and Tianjin, and has an annual production capacity of 1 million vehicles and engines.
On December 30, 2016, New Continent Holdings Co., Ltd. transferred 50% of the equity of New Continent Honda Motorcycle Co., Ltd. to Ningbo New Continent Equity Investment Co., Ltd. Since then, New Continent Honda Motorcycle Co., Ltd. has been funded by Ningbo New Continent Equity Investment Co., Ltd., Japan Honda Motor Co., Ltd., and Honda Motor Industries (China) Investment Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 130 million US dollars, and the equity ratio of China and Japan is 50% each.
