Master Kong mineral water is based on the drinking water that meets the national GB5749 "Drinking Water Hygiene Standards" as the water source, through the primary filtration, ultrafiltration, activated carbon filtration, ultraviolet sterilization and two reverse osmosis treatment and other six filtration principle processes, through scientific processing methods, a certain amount of potassium and magnesium mineral components are added to the pure water. These minerals are extracted from natural seawater and minerals, and can be legally added to drinking mineral water in accordance with national regulations.

On April 20, 2015, Master Kong held a brand launch conference and officially replaced its "Master Kong Mineral Water" brand with "Master Kong Youyue Packaged Drinking Water". The latest appearance of Master Kong bottled water, highlighting the word "Youyue", the previous "Master Kong Youyue Mineral Water" icon made for the transition period has disappeared. Regarding the name change, Master Kong emphasized that Master Kong's "Youyue" will, as always, continue the tradition of Master Kong's products being safe and secure, cheap and high-quality, and provide consumers with packaged drinking water of consistent quality. Compared with the conventional mineral water, there will be no changes other than the bottle label.
