("Shuanghui Development") (www.shuanghui.net), the largest meat processing enterprise in China, and owns Smithfield Foods (www.smithfieldfoods.com), an international food company. In 2013, the company's sales totaled more than $20 billion.
The Company currently operates its business through three main segments, namely the Meat Products segment, the Fresh Pork segment and the Pig Breeding segment. In addition, the Company is also engaged in other businesses supporting the main business segments. In China, these businesses mainly include the manufacture and sale of packaging materials, the provision of logistics services, the operation of retail chains, the production of seasonings and natural casings, and biopharmaceuticals.
WH Group, formerly known as Shuanghui International, changed its name in January 2014 to reflect the company's global presence and its goal of becoming a leading international brand.
WH Group was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 5 August 2014 under the stock code 288.
