Goldwell brand introduction

Goldwell logo

Goldwell, founded in Germany in 1948, became a brand of Kao in Japan in 1989, a well-known high-end hair brand, focusing on the production and sales of styling/haircare/hairdressing products

GOLDWELL FROM GERMANY IS ONE OF THE TOP 5 PROFESSIONAL HAIRDRESSING BRANDS IN THE WORLD. GOLDWELL originated from the simple idea of Hans Erich Dotter, the founder of GOLDWELL, to prolong the length of hair styling time, and in 1948 he founded a hair company in Darmastadt, Germany, and named the first product "GOLDWELL ideal" as the name of the professional hair company that would later span the world. A simple red square, but it supports the most missionary business philosophy of a business, and the four corners of the red square also represent the four cornerstones of the enterprise: salon, education, products and services. SERVICE IS ALWAYS THE ORIGINAL INTENTION, AND THEN DEVELOP HIGH-PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS, FOR EXAMPLE: GOLDWELL'S HAIR DYE IS THE WORLD'S FIRST PNEUMATIC DYE, AND IN 1996 WAS THE FIRST TO STOP USING THE HIGHLY ALLERGENIC INGREDIENT ANILINE DERIVATIVE (PPDA), WHICH IS THE WORLD'S LOWEST AVERAGE PH DYE VALUE. Professional hair stylists promote the latest trends and technologies to consumers in order to educate people on how to achieve the ultimate beauty of their hair.

After joining the Kao Group, GOLDWELL established a Taiwan branch in 1997, under the steady operation of decades, GOLDWELL is one of the world's top three professional hair brands, with international branches in four oceans and five continents in the world, specializing in product marketing and salon services in the region, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Australia, the United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chinese mainland... and other professional services from more than 40 bases around the world, quickly connecting and spreading the latest hair and fashion news all over the world, so that all designers can send the latest trend reports to each other with zero time difference!

Kao KAO acquires Goldwell

Following the acquisition of GOLDWELL in Germany in 1989, Japan's Kao Group officially acquired KMS in California, USA in 2002 and named it KPSS (KAO Professional Salon Services).

Since then, KPSS has been led by two major brands, GOLDWELL and KMS, each with different brand personalities.

With the advantages of German GOLDWELL in hair dyeing and cold perm technology and KMS's excellent performance in the function of general hair care, the two brands enhance each other's effect, make the function more complete, provide more diversified choices for professional salons, and make KPSS more competitive in professional hair products.
