RIMOWA logo

Bingchen Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Rimowa, a world-famous luggage brand, began in Germany in 1898, the pioneer of lightweight suitcases, parallel groove structure design is its unique style, and is known for its sturdy/durable/lightweight suitcase brand

The RIMOWA luxury suitcase brand is one of the few suitcase manufacturers in Germany and one of the only manufacturers in the industry to carry on a century-old tradition. The product is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy and high-tech polycarbonate, which are known for their strength, durability and lightness, and combine high-quality materials, excellent technology, unique design and extraordinary craftsmanship, becoming another legend of "Made in Germany".

Over the decades, the optimised optical features have resulted in the noble and elegant silhouette of the Rimowa suitcase, which has created a unique visual effect that has become an iconic image of the luxury suitcase and the brand itself. This unique and striking signature design runs throughout the brand, including the head office building. Rimowa's products from Cologne are distributed in 65 countries and regions around the world, and have set up special distributors, specialty stores and flagship stores in major cities, such as Beverly Hills, Toronto, Seoul, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Harbin, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Macau, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore and Munich.

What makes RIMOWA unique – ideas, innovation, internationalization

Since 2008, RIMOWA has gradually built up an international production network: classic aluminum-magnesium suitcases are produced in Cologne, Germany, while polycarbonate suitcases are manufactured in the Czech Republic and Canada at their factories in Cambridge. In order to ensure the exceptional quality of the Rimowa suitcase, the main production process is still done by hand, but in order to ensure the flexibility and stability of the new polycarbonate material, Rimowa has only changed the body of the suitcase to be machine-made to maximize elasticity and strength.

In 2000, Rimowa's first polycarbonate suitcase was born. It took the designer more than three years to bring the suitcase to life, and it made RIMOWA the first manufacturer to make a suitcase from polycarbonate, revolutionizing the global luggage market. Since then, major brands have followed suit, and polycarbonate, a high-tech material, has become a new favorite in the luggage manufacturing industry and has become popular all over the world. Lightweight and tough, this new material, derived from aerospace technology, is highly impact-resistant and resistant to deformation, magically restoring itself even after being impacted. This feature was recognized by the German Technical Control Board (TüV), an authoritative technical inspection body in Germany, and Rimowa's Salsa suitcase made of polycarbonate topped the TüV resilience test in 2004 and 2005.

Due to the infinite pursuit of high quality, local high-end German brands are vying to cooperate with RIMOWA. A few years ago, Rimowa established partnerships with Porsche and Deutsche Lufthansa: Rimowa supplies products to the Lufthansa World Shop and participates in Lufthansa's rewards programme; Porsche owners can also choose a Rimowa suitcase in the same colour to complement their car. Design, durability, quality, practicality, timelessness, individuality and exclusivity are the hallmarks of the Rimowa suitcase.
