The Outlast® fabric fibres of the Slumberland TempSmart Mattress are microscopically microcapsulated to absorb excess body temperature, store heat and release it when needed. The key to Outlast's® technology, which involves the implantation of microcapsules (PCMS) into fibers, is the use of microencapsulated heat-sensitive phase change materials that absorb, store and release heat in the form of latent heat. In the temperature change, it can be converted between solid and liquid states, so as to achieve the effect of heat absorption and heat release.
