Pangang Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Pangang) is a large vanadium and titanium iron and steel enterprise group relying on the rich vanadium titanium magnetite resources in Panxi area and relying on independent innovation and construction. The construction of Pangang is a major strategic decision made by the party and the state to develop Panxi resources, change the layout of China's iron and steel industry, and build a large third line. Pangang was founded in 1965, the first phase of construction was arduous, in 1970, in 1971, in 1974, the end of the history of no large-scale iron and steel enterprises in the western part of China. Pangang began to build the second phase of the project in 1986, and it was basically completed in 1997, realizing the scale of varieties and ending the history of China's western region not being able to produce plates. Since 2001, Pangang has actively promoted the technological transformation of "turning materials into high-quality products", implemented cross-regional joint reorganization, and built a new base for the comprehensive utilization of vanadium and titanium resources in Xichang. In May 2010, it was reorganized with Anshan Iron and Steel Group and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation.
