Wenxin Yiyan is a new generation of Baidu's knowledge-enhanced large language model, a new member of the Wenxin large model family, which can interact with people, answer questions, assist in creation, and help people obtain information, knowledge and inspiration efficiently and conveniently. Based on the PaddlePaddle deep learning platform and Wenxin knowledge enhancement model, it continues to integrate learning from massive data and large-scale knowledge, and has the technical characteristics of knowledge enhancement, retrieval enhancement and dialogue enhancement.
Wenxin Yiyan (English name: ERNIE Bot) is a new generation of Baidu's new generation of knowledge-enhanced large language models, a new member of the Wenxin large model family, which can interact with people, answer questions, assist in creation, and help people obtain information, knowledge and inspiration efficiently and conveniently. Wenxin Yiyan integrates learning from trillions of data and hundreds of billions of knowledge to obtain a pre-trained large model, and on this basis, it adopts supervised fine-tuning, human feedback reinforcement learning, prompting and other technologies, which has the technical advantages of knowledge enhancement, retrieval enhancement and dialogue enhancement.
On March 16, 2023, Baidu's new generation of large language model Wenxin Yiyan officially launched the invitation test. On August 31, Wenxin Yiyan took the lead in fully opening up to the whole society. On the first day of opening, Wenxin Yiyan replied to more than 33.42 million questions from netizens. ON DECEMBER 28, BAIDU CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER WANG HAIFENG ANNOUNCED AT THE 10TH WAVE SUMMIT DEEP LEARNING DEVELOPER CONFERENCE THAT THE NUMBER OF USERS OF WENXIN YIYAN HAS EXCEEDED 100 MILLION.
As of November 12, 2024, the number of users of Wenxin Yiyan has reached 430 million. As of April 16, 2024, the average daily call volume of Wenxin Yiyan API has also exceeded 200 million, the number of customers served is 85,000, and the number of AI native applications on the Qianfan platform has exceeded 190,000. On September 4, 2024, the Wenxin Yiyan APP will be upgraded to the "Wenxiaoyan APP".
In February 2025, Wenxin Yiyan will launch an in-depth search function. From April 1st, Wenxin Yiyan will be fully free, and all PC and APP users can experience the latest models of the Wenxin series.
