Founded in 1986, Trauson Medical Devices (China) Co., Ltd. is a well-known enterprise in China's orthopedic industry, a domestic manufacturer of trauma products and a top supplier of spine products, specializing in the research and development, production and sales of medical devices
Chuangsheng, founded in 1986, is one of the leading enterprises in China's orthopedic industry, as well as the largest manufacturer of trauma products and one of the top manufacturers of spine products in China. In March 2013, Trauson joined Stryker.
Trauson adopts a dual-brand strategy: Trauson is the main brand and Osmec is the fast-growing second brand. Both brands compete in the trauma and spine market and have a strong reputation for quality and trustworthiness. The dual-brand strategy provides a lot of flexibility and dealer management when bidding. At present, we have 1,200 employees, and we design and manufacture products through two companies, Trauson Medical Devices (China) Co., Ltd. and Changzhou OsmeMed Medical Device Co., Ltd., and our sales and service network covers more than 460 distributors across the country, covering more than 3,500 hospitals. In addition to the above two companies in Changzhou, regional sales offices have been set up in Shanghai (Shanghai Fair Trading) and Guangzhou (South and Southwest China branches).
Shortly after the acquisition, Trauson successfully passed the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) audit of Osme, and continued its OEM business with Stryker Mahwah. In addition, our central testing laboratory has successfully passed key government inspections and obtained CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) accreditation, which is the first and only government-certified orthopedic laboratory in China. At the end of 2013, Trauson was awarded the "Most Trustworthy Company in Quality" award by the China Pharmaceutical Quality Management Association, which is the first and only orthopedic medical enterprise in China to receive this honor.
We are committed to building Trauson into the most trusted company to work with and the number one brand in the global orthopedic value chain. A cross-functional "rapid response team" with clear responsibilities has been established. The establishment of a "high-tech center" under the Office of the Chief Engineer transformed Trauson from a fast follower to a leader in technological innovation and a giant that attracted collaboration from physicians, hospitals, and research institutes. Similarly, the "Technology Transfer Center" has been established to facilitate the integration of R&D and operations in terms of quality and timely launch of new products. In addition, on September 25, 2014, the official establishment of the "Trauson 3D Printing R&D Center" marks that the Chinese national brand "Trauson" has shifted from the traditional "Made in China" to the "Created in China" model, and then brought about the birth of the 3D orthopedic digital design platform, which makes Trauson firmly believe and is fully prepared to become the leader of the global orthopedic basic market.
In the long term, Trauson will actively pursue complementary acquisition opportunities outside of the orthopedic industry to expand its global value areas. The road ahead is challenging, but the opportunities are also huge. Given that Trauson has been very successfully integrated into Stryker, we are confident that Trauson will gain the trust and support of its employees and key stakeholders to continue to grow in China and expand globally in the primary healthcare sector." In the future, Trauson will accelerate the expansion of the international market, enhance the competitiveness and market share of the spine business, enter the fast-growing high-end orthopedic field - joint market, and seize the opportunity to enter other fast-growing fields through acquisitions.
