Founded in 1987, a well-known travel agency brand, a subsidiary of CITIC Group, is a comprehensive tourism service enterprise specializing in the comprehensive development of inbound tourism, outbound tourism, domestic tourism and business travel

In 1987, it was a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Group. CITIC Tourism Group Co., Ltd. is one of the "Top 100 Travel Agencies" and "5A-level Travel Agencies" in China, an earlier demonstration unit of Beijing Tourism Standardization and an earlier travel agency unit that promised to operate in good faith, and is the vice president unit of China Association of Travel Service and the vice president unit of Beijing Association of Travel Agencies.

The company operates travel agency business such as inbound market, outbound market, domestic market, visa business, consultation and agency services for Chinese citizens entering and exiting for private purposes, as well as hotel management and tourism resource development business. It is the designated group company for the national franchise of outbound tours for Chinese citizens, and the first batch of travel agencies designated to operate the business of mainland residents traveling to Taiwan.

The company has successively established branches in Henan, Xi'an, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Datong, Guangdong, Xinjiang, Hunan, Tianjin, Shandong, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities, and established China's first Sino-Japanese joint venture travel agency transportation commune New Era in 2000, and currently has 17 subordinate enterprises.
