Through the integration of the product resources of CITS holding companies and council members, CITS provides tourists with outbound, domestic group and independent travel products departing from 53 cities including Macao, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Kunming, Nanning and Nanjing, as well as comprehensive tourism services such as air tickets, hotels, visas, travel ticketing and travel insurance.
China CITS Travel Reservation Center provides consultation and booking service support for CITS Online, and now has three centers: Beijing headquarters, Guangdong branch center and Fujian branch center, and more than 1,000 IT chain stores across the country, forming an online and offline integrated service system.
Founded in 1954, China International Travel Service (www.cits.cn) was renamed China International Travel Service Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China International Travel Service) in March 2008. After several generations of CITS people's hard work, it has now developed into a large-scale and powerful travel agency enterprise group in China, attracting and receiving more than 10 million overseas tourists to China.
China International Travel Service is one of the first travel agencies in China to obtain a franchise for outbound tourism. CITS has 8 wholly-owned and holding overseas companies and 8 visa centers in 12 countries and regions around the world, 36 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries and 2 joint-stock companies across the country, nearly 700 outlets, and more than 100 travel agencies that are members of the CITS Group Council, and has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with more than 1,400 travel agents in more than 100 countries, forming a modern business network based on China and looking at the world.
In July 2016, Hong Kong China Travel Service Group and China International Travel Service Group implemented a reorganization, and after the reorganization, Hong Kong China Travel Service Group was renamed China Tourism Group Corporation.
