Introduction to the SEILER brand

SEILERlogo

A well-known piano brand, originated from Germany in 1849, an authority in the field of piano production in Europe, focusing on upright pianos or grand pianos, and is famous in the industry for super magnetic vibrating linkage devices

Edward Saler was a carpenter who founded the company under his own name in 1849. His aim was that the upright piano or grand piano he built should not only satisfy the needs of professionals, but also "make the educated middle class feel that the road to the halls of music was not out of reach." ”

Sailor started out on a small scale, but it grew rapidly: 1,000 pianos were built in 1870, and that number doubled in the next two years. He rose to fame in 1872 after winning the prize for outstanding piano craftsmanship in Moscow.

After his death in 1875, Johannes Salel took over the business. He employs 120 manufacturers and continues to produce high-end pianos and has won awards at international trade fairs. By 1898 he had produced 25,000 pianos. In 1923, Johannes' son-in-law, Anton Dutz, took over the company, employing 435 workers and producing 3,000 pianos a year, making it the largest piano factory in eastern Germany.

After the Second World War, the Liegnitz factory was occupied and the Selel family fled to Denmark, where production began in Copenhagen in 1951 under the direction of Steffen Seile. In 1975, its piano production in Germany was licensed and resumed. In 1962, the factory in Kitzingen, Germany, was bought and became the site of today's Selol. As production expanded, a larger space was needed, so in 1977 the workshop was expanded to include a concert hall and a training workshop.

To this day, the company is still owned by the Celer family, Ursula and Manula. They remain committed to inheriting the brand's unique sound quality. Over the past five years, Sailor has been analyzing their piano variety, improving sound quality and production processes.

Celer pianos have an impeccable transparent sound.

Their patented Super Magnetic Vibrator Linkage has two magnets that repeat even after the keys are pressed.

The Cellor (Membrator) system, a special ribbon soundboard, and the tonal volume stabilizer (which evenly distributes tension between connectors) increase the resonance of the soundboard and the volume of the sound.

In the 80s of the 20th century, Saler produced a grand piano called the Showmaster SM180. This extraordinary instrument can be used as a regular piano or easily converted into a contact pickup that receives a traditional soundboard.

The solid foundation of Edwardd Sellor's pianos of superior quality and craftsmanship allowed John Sailor and Anton Dutz to expand the company. Stephen Selel's designs became a solid mainstay of the design concept, including the "Super Magnetic Vibrator Linkage Device". Urshura inherited it and put it to the latest test. In November 2008, it was officially acquired by Tri-benefits Group.
