Grimona GCV logo

Founded in 1989, the top ten brands of violin, adhering to the traditional craftsmanship of Italian violin making, is a well-known violin manufacturer in China, and its specially designed series of student pianos have been widely acclaimed

Two places on Earth with an average annual humidity of 76% are the town of Grimona in northern Italy and the city of Guangzhou in southern China.

More than 300 years ago, the most talented luthiers emerged in Italy, like stars in the sky, shining on the entire violin world to this day.

Three hundred years later, in 1989, Guangzhou established China's first violin production joint venture, Guangzhou Glimona Violin Co., Ltd. Inheriting the traditional craftsmanship of Italian violin making, supplemented by modern production management mode and quality management system, the company's products have won gold, silver, merit and other awards in international violin competitions for large, medium and violin timbre, craftsmanship and bow. There are only a handful of awards among domestic and foreign counterparts.

A cello made by the company's employees won the silver medal for cello timbre in the 13th American International Violin Making Competition. This is also the first time that a Chinese has won a special medal for cello in a world-class competition. The company employs more than 300 people, most of whom have been in the company for more than 10 years, and the technical instructors come from Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

The company is responsible for quality inspection personnel 22 people, accounting for 8.5% of the total number, the company fully implements the requirements of the ISO9001-2000 quality management system. Each workpiece and each process must go through three procedures, such as self-inspection by the maker, mutual inspection of the upper and lower processes, and inspection by the quality inspector, before it is allowed to enter the next step of construction. From the beginning of production, each piano is accompanied by a unique corresponding quality control sheet, which records the original data such as the maker, the size of each part of the piano body, the climatic data during construction, and the acceptance results.

The company's production workshop is top-notch. Its products and semi-finished products are stored in warehouses equipped with dehumidifiers and air conditioners, and 24-hour temperature control is implemented. Before leaving the factory, the product is placed in a sealed warehouse in a humidity environment similar to the country for at least 30 days, so that the deformation of the body due to climate change is minimized.

The most important thing to learn to play the violin is to master the intonation and technique. However, if you use a violin with inaccurate measurements, you will not be able to achieve this purpose correctly. Especially for beginners, when their first instrument is made of inaccurate data (such as the data of effective string length), it can cause permanent damage to their entire learning journey.

Taking this as a starting point, the company has specially designed a series of pianos for students. The 20 key dimensions are extremely precise, and with excellent assembly skills, they are in perfect condition for use and are as good as a high-end violin. This makes it easier for users to complete the skills and intonation required by the teacher in a shorter time.

All handcrafted with high-quality white pine tops and patterned maple baseplates, complete with African ebony fingerboards, Brazilian wood bows, lightweight or wooden cases.

Guangzhou Glimona Violin Co., Ltd. has become a well-known enterprise in the world violin industry.
