VEKA Plastics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., located in Shanghai Songjiang Industrial Zone, a state-level development zone, is the first high-grade PVC-U plastic profile production base invested by VEKA AG in Asia with an investment of hundreds of millions of yuan. The company completed the first phase of development and construction in 1998, and officially supplied high-quality PVC-U profile products to the domestic and Asian markets. In 2002, the company completed the second phase of expansion construction, and in August 2008, VEKA Shanghai once again invested in the third phase of plant expansion, and built a new production workshop of 10,000 square meters. After the expansion of Vica Plastics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., its plant area has been expanded to more than three times the initial stage, and imported from Germany with an annual mixing capacity of 50,000 tons, at present, the most advanced fully enclosed, fully automatic mixing system has been put into use, and a full set of high-energy, computer-controlled power units made in Germany, which will meet the higher process needs of the profile production line for cooling system, shaping system, and product stability to the greatest extent, more than 200 sets of molds for new window types and sections have been put into use. In order to standardize the production and development of the domestic construction and building materials industry, the Ministry of Construction and industry associations in 2006 have successively issued mandatory energy-saving requirements for building exterior wall materials and national standards for the production of plastic profiles.
