Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. (Chinese referred to as "Salt Lake Co., Ltd.", full name in English, QingHai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd., stock code 000792) is mainly engaged in the manufacture of chemical raw materials and chemical products.
Salt Lake Co., Ltd. was founded in 1958 as "Qinghai Potash Fertilizer Factory". In 1996, as the first batch of modern enterprise system pilot units in Qinghai Province, it was renamed "Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Salt Lake Group") after the company system reform. In 1997, the main business of potassium chloride production and operation was reorganized into "Qinghai Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd.", and the stock of "Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer" was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. On November 29, 2007, the China Securities Regulatory Commission approved the overall listing plan of the reorganization of the digital network of Salt Lake Group, and the shares of "Salt Lake Group" resumed trading on March 11, 2008. On December 22, 2010, Qinghai Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd. (i.e., "Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer") absorbed and merged with Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group Co., Ltd. (i.e., "Salt Lake Group") with the approval of the Mergers and Acquisitions Review Committee of Listed Companies of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and on March 21, 2011, "Salt Lake Group" was delisted and cancelled on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and "Two Lakes" was registered and renamed as "Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd." after the merger.
Salt Lake Co., Ltd. adheres to the development idea of "potassium-based, comprehensive utilization, and circular economy", and has made multiple leaps from a single potash fertilizer to fertilizer industry, inorganic to organic, chemical to fine chemical, petrochemical, natural gas chemical, coal chemical, etc., and the company's products have developed from a single potassium chloride to potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate, potassium nitrate, sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, magnesium metal, magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, lithium carbonate, PVC, methanol, urea, polypropylene, coke, cement, woven bags and other products, involving industry, agriculture, aerospace, building materials, medicine and other fields.
In 1996, Salt Lake Co., Ltd. successfully developed the cold crystallization technology of reverse flotation, implemented 400,000 tons of capacity expansion, and made the production capacity of potassium chloride reach 500,000 tons, realizing the first leap in the company's development. In 2000, the Qinghai 1 million ton potash fertilizer project, one of the first ten projects of the country's western development, started construction, and in 2006, it reached the standard and production, and the potassium chloride production capacity reached 1.05 million tons. Since 2005, Salt Lake Co., Ltd. has successively launched the construction of the first and second phases of the Salt Lake Comprehensive Utilization Project, the integration of magnesium metal, the integration of ADC foaming agent, the integration of Haina, and the expansion and transformation of new million tons of potash fertilizer.
