GAC Hino Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GAC Hino) is a joint venture jointly established by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and Hino Motor Co., Ltd. on November 28, 2007 with a registered capital of 1.72 billion yuan (the first phase of capital injection of 1.5 billion yuan, and the capital increase of 220 million yuan in 2014). At present, it mainly produces key assemblies such as Hino brand heavy trucks and drive axles, and plans to form an annual output of 20,000 heavy trucks, and has achieved a production capacity of 5,000 heavy trucks per year.

On September 21, 2009, GAC Hinocong Chemical Plant was officially completed and put into operation, and the first 700 series heavy-duty truck was successfully rolled off the assembly line. In November 2010, GAC Hino Country IV tractor successfully passed the exhaust gas and noise emission type approval certification of the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department, and obtained the qualification to operate in Hong Kong. GAC Hino 700 series heavy-duty truck 6×4 tractor and concrete mixer truck won the fuel-saving championship of their respective groups in the 3rd China International Truck Fuel Saving Competition, verifying the fuel-saving characteristics of GAC Hino heavy trucks with low fuel consumption. With high reliability, high attendance, low failure and high cost performance, as well as considerate and thoughtful after-sales service, GAC Hino has established a good reputation in the domestic commercial vehicle market, and has won the favor of many customers since it rolled off the assembly line, and has been quickly recognized by the market.
